Who We Are

Christy Ross, MHA Christy Ross has over 20 years of expertise in healthcare and philanthropy. She has held key leadership positions at the NAACP and HCA healthcare system as well as several organizations in Louisiana and Gulf South. Christy has worked with national social service and policy organizations to set bold policy agendas and outline strategies to support long term growth. Christy also has extensive experience in organizational development, compliance, fund development and community engagement.

Christy received a Master’s Degree in Health Administration from Tulane University and a Bachelor of Science degree from Xavier University of Louisiana. She is a member of the 2023 Grantmakers for Effective Organizations Senior Leaders, a 2018 Terrance Keenan Institute (Grantmakers in Health) Fellow and a 2017 graduate of the New Orleans Regional Leadership Institute. 

Kim Williams, MPP, has over 24 years’ experience operating at the intersection of public health practice and public policy. Kim has dedicatedly worked to promote health equity by improving services for underserved communities and striving to eliminate health disparities.  She currently serves as a Vice President for Health Equity and Community Engagement with a national healthcare professional membership organization.    

Prior to joining her current role, served as the Director for Health Equity, Population Health and Community Engagement for a Humana Healthy Horizons in Louisiana where she led efforts to engage Medicaid members to eliminate health disparities and improve population health outcomes across race, ethnicity, language, disability status, geography, sexual orientation and gender identity.  Kim served as the CEO of Our Community Health, a nonprofit health center seeking FQHC status where she worked with multi-disciplinary clinical leaders to provide comprehensive health, integrated behavioral health, and linkages to community based social services for patients who were underserved. As Texas Executive Director for the Nurse-Family Partnership National Service Office, she co-led the NFP National Service Office Task Force on Maternal Morbidity and Mortality and served on the Texas Maternal Morbidity and Mortality Review Committee. 

Skills & Accomplishments:

  • Led children’s hurricane recovery efforts after Katrina and Rita

  • Led the federally funded Healthy Start program in New Orleans.

  • Expertise as a thought leader in improving health for maternal, child, and community health with an equity lens for underserved communities.  

  • Ability to produce winning public policy and advocacy strategies;

  • Skilled at developing and implementing evidence-based and research informed programs and services.

  • Capable of engaging multiple stakeholders to collaborate to solve complex community health challenges that improve outcomes and the delivery of high-quality healthcare services.

She earned her BA in Sociology from Spelman College in Atlanta and her Master of Public Policy from the Sanford School of Public Policy at Duke University. She is earning her EdD in Leadership Studies at LSU Shreveport where her research is on Black women in healthcare leadership roles. She’s volunteers with the National Alumnae Association of Spelman College and is on the board of the March of Dimes in Louisiana.  She grew up in Texas, Iowa, Louisiana, and Missouri, and currently lives in New Orleans. She enjoys cooking and entertaining family and friends.
